This is more than a Director, or Operations position – it’s a hybrid leadership role with real strategic influence, a hands-on approach, and long-term succession into the top seat.
What You’ll Do
- Take increasing ownership of the business alongside the current MD, preparing to lead day-to-day operations and strategy.
- Drive growth across commercial and operational areas, including a major new high-value machinery launch.
- Lead complex projects and high-value sales, managing specifications, warranties, and supplier relationships.
- Support and develop the existing team, fostering collaboration and high performance.
Who You Are
- Experienced in senior leadership with both commercial and operational responsibility.
- Confident handling complex, high-value equipment sales or similar technical projects.
- Commercially astute, hands-on, and comfortable in a practical, fast-moving SME environment.
- You must be from a plant manufacture, machinery rental, powered access, lifting, or engineering-related sectors.
- Ambitious and committed to stepping into a long-term leadership role, with a passion for machinery and engineering.
