This is a unique role combining workplace facilitation with personal care support. You will support a disabled female BBC radio producer (who is paralysed from the neck down) to carry out her role effectively while also assisting with daily living. You will be part of a two-person support team so there will be plenty of breaks during the day.
This role offers long-term stability, structured hours and training.
Hours and pay:
Monday to Friday, 10:30am – 6:00pm (37.5 hours)
£14 per hour (£525 per week gross)
Location:
The role will be based at her home in White City, W12 and BBC Broadcasting House, London.
Responsibilities:
Providing basic admin support using Microsoft office packages and note taking. Good typing skills are essential.
Operating broadcast related equipment e.g. podcast publishing software (this is only a small part of the job, it is straight forward to do and full training will be given).
Personal care support (including feeding, cooking & toileting).
Occasional household tasks such as shopping.
Pushing wheelchair, and travelling between locations using taxis and tube.

About You:

A valid UK working permit or be from the UK
Fluency in spoken and written English
Good computer and typing skills
An aptitude for operating technology
A caring personality
A sense of humour and a cheerful attitude
Patience
Be reliable and trustworthy
Be already living in the UK
Be available for at least 12 months, and preferably longer
Capable of lifting, moving, and positioning a person with limited mobility.
A driving license is not required.
The selected candidate will need to provide two references (one must be professional) and will need to have an Enhanced DBS Check from the last 6 months or be willing to do a new check.
Interviews will be conducted via Zoom and applicants will be asked to demonstrate their typing skills.
Pay: £14.00 per hour
