Contracts Manager required;
We are looking for an experienced tradesperson ready to step into management. You'll be hands when needed but your duties will be:
The job entails:
- Communicate and meet with customers.
- Measure, pricing works and preparing quotes for upcoming works
- Calculate and Order materials required for specific jobs
- Co-ordinate general building works, groundworks & landscaping including labour and time manage to ensure job is completed in correct timescale allowed and within budget.
- General help with day to day running of the jobs
- Oversee & monitor health safety & quality
This will suit a self employed, self disciplined person with a 'can do' attitude. We value experience over qualifications and consistency over tickets.
Requirements:
- Must hold a clean UK driving licence.
- This position would suit carpenter, bricklayer, groundworks & general trade with at least 10 years experience
- Computer skills would be beneficial (word and outlook)
- We carry out a lot of projects for Somerset and Devon County Council so attention to detail, being able to work to strict deadlines and organisational skills are mandatory.
- Will involve some Saturday work as and when required, we also undertake a great deal of school work so within school holiday times.
- Live within 15 miles of Wellington - TA21
- Strong communicator with good office/admin skills
Pay: £40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
