Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, supporting the culinary team to deliver exceptional service. Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently and thoroughly
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff
- Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and kitchen equipment
- Supporting the organisation of storage areas and stock rotation
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety standards
- Maintaining a tidy and hygienic work environment at all times
- Supporting the culinary team during busy service periods as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations is desirable
- Experience in serving or working within a hospitality environment is beneficial
- A keen interest in culinary arts or hospitality is welcomed for those looking to develop their career in this field
