Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate CDP Chef to join our culinary team in a small family run business. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, assisting in menu development, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and specifications
- Assist in the development and refinement of menu offerings
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service
- Serve food efficiently and courteously to guests when required
- Support training of junior kitchen staff as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable especially in mediteranean cuisine
- Excellent skills in culinary techniques and food presentation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred
