Drama Teacher

Salary: MPS – UPS (London Fringe) + TLR2B
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
A high-performing and oversubscribed secondary school in Watford is seeking a Drama Teacher to join their team from September. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing 11–18 academy with a strong reputation for academic achievement and student development.
The school has consistently achieved some of the strongest examination results in South West Hertfordshire and continues to expand due to increasing demand from families. They are committed to providing an ambitious and inclusive education for all students, regardless of background or starting point.
This role would suit either an experienced Drama Teacher or an ambitious teacher looking to take on additional responsibility through the available TLR.
What you'll be doing:
- Teaching Drama across KS3, KS4 and KS5
- Planning and delivering engaging and creative lessons
- Inspiring students to develop confidence, performance skills and a love of the arts
- Monitoring progress and supporting excellent student outcomes
- Contributing to productions, performances and extracurricular activities
- Supporting the continued development of Drama within the school
What we're looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Drama in a secondary school setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A passion for performing arts and student achievement
- Ability to contribute positively to a collaborative department
