The Senior HR Advisor provides expert, commercially focused HR support to a growing semiconductor business with offices across the UK, and also Brazil, India and Hungary. The Senior HR Advisor acts as a trusted advisor to manager and leaders, working closely with operational leaders to align HR initiatives with business priorities and drive sustainable growth. The role combines operational HR for UK based employees with HR change projects across the business that may span our global operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as a trusted advisor to managers and employees: able to coach managers and challenge as needed on effective people management.
- Oversee the relationship with the Employer of Record provider supporting employees in countries where the company does not have a legal entity.
- Develop and maintain UK and Global HR policies to meet align with the needs of the business and ongoing legal changes, particularly the Employment Rights Act.
- Managing employee relations cases, from initial advice to resolution.
- Work in collaboration with our Recruitment Manager to ensure the attraction of top talent.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of learning and development programmes, including facilitation of sessions and ideally presenting training e.g. our Early Careers Programme.
- Leading or collaborating with the Head of HR on change management and HR projects.
- Lead or contribute to the regular cycle of HR initiatives such as engagement surveys, pay reviews, Talent reviews.
- Use HR data and metrics to provide insights and guide decision-making and drive improvements.
- Promote wellbeing to support the physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing of employees. DEI, and actions to support these, e.g. wellbeing action plans.

Key Skills and Experience
Essential
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (minimum) or equivalent experience.
- Solid experience in a generalist HR role, preferably working with a predominately professional workforce e.g. engineers, scientists.
Demonstrates strong HR knowledge and understanding of UK employment law and its practical application
