Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative (part-time) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across various commercial premises. Prior experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning is advantageous, but full training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties across designated commercial sites, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces
- Maintain hygiene standards in restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely and stored appropriately after use
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Complete cleaning schedules within allocated timeframes to meet client expectations
Skills
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided
- Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning of all areas
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Reliable with a professional attitude and good time management skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations is desirable

Additional hours will be available for holiday cover
