We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Nursery Assistant to join our childcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities tailored to children's developmental needs
- Support children's emotional, social, and physical development through engaging interactions
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop personalised care plans for individual children
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and wellbeing
- Support the management team in daily operations, including organising activities and maintaining records
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding less experienced staff or volunteers when necessary
- Drive responsibilities may include transporting children safely to outings or appointments
Experience
- Proven nursery experience or background in early childhood education is essential
- Demonstrated management or leadership skills within a childcare setting
- Experience working with children across different age groups, particularly early years
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Childcare qualifications recognised by relevant authorities are preferred
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation duties
