Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paint Prepper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in preparing surfaces for painting, ensuring that all materials are ready for the finishing process. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various hand and power tools. The Paint Prepper will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organised workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas as needed to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Operate hand tools and power tools effectively for surface preparation tasks.
- Assist in the movement of heavy materials and equipment, ensuring safety during lifting and handling.
- Maintain an organised work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly after use.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand how tools and equipment operate.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as sanders, scrapers, and brushes.
- Experience with power tools is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, with a focus on safety practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
