Maintenance Manager
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm. Plus occasional on-call hours.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Manager to join this 60-bed care home. You will be maintaining the quality, safety and appearance of the home to create a positive first impression for visitors, residents and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the home, equipment, and gardens to the highest standards
- Ensure compliance and functionality at all times, enhancing the comfort and safety of residents, staff, and visitors
- Provide advice over the phone and be available for emergency call-outs when off duty
- Perform hands-on tasks including painting, decorating, and general property maintenance
- Report any irreparable defects to the General Manager
- Prioritise and complete tasks from the maintenance request book daily
- Manage budgetary control systems within allocated budgets
- Conduct regular checks on fire alarms, escape routes, window restrictors, wheelchairs, reclining chairs and beds, bed rails, emergency lighting, firefighting equipment, and water temperatures
