Salary: FTE £32,597 to £35,412 Actual salary £23,190 to £25,192
Hours: 31.25 hours per week (Term time only) / 8.30am-3.30pm / 45 minutes lunch
Required from: September 2026
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work across our two schools. The HLTA role will include delivering lessons to whole classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
The role will involve supporting teaching and learning across the school which includes:
- supervision of whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers
- contributing effectively to teachers’ planning and preparation of lessons.
- contributing effectively to the selection and preparation of teaching resources that meet the diversity of pupils’ needs and interests.
- contribute to maintaining and analysing records of pupils’ progress.
What You Need to Succeed
The successful candidate will:
- hold the recognised qualifications for Higher Level Teaching Assistants (or equivalent) having met the National Standards established by the Training and Development Agency for Schools.
- build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- demonstrate and promote the positive values, attitudes and behaviour expected of the pupils.
- demonstrate an understanding of the aims, content, teaching strategies and intended outcomes for the lessons.
