Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Front of House Staff to join our vibrant new Italian restaurant. The ideal candidates will deliver exceptional guest experiences, ensuring every visitor feels welcomed and well-cared for. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and manage reservations efficiently to optimise seating arrangements
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted and accommodated
- Serve food and drinks with professionalism, maintaining a friendly and attentive demeanour throughout the guest’s visit
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, menus, and service stations
- Handle guest queries promptly and courteously, resolving any issues to ensure a positive dining experience
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including setting up tables and cleaning work areas
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication between front and back of house
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments, with a strong understanding of guest service standards
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to perform basic maths accurately for billing and transactions
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tables and tasks simultaneously
- Effective communication skills for engaging with guests and team members alike
- A friendly, approachable manner with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service
- Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance the guest experience while increasing sales potential
