Our client is seeking a Multi skilled manufacturing operative on a temporary to permanent basis to perform essential hands-on tasks to keep production lines running smoothly. Duties include assembling parts, operating machinery, packing finished goods, conducting basic quality checks, and maintaining a safe, clean workspace and local deliveries in their 3.5 t van
Core Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Safely running, loading, and tending to automated or manual production machinery.
- Quality Control: Inspecting parts or products to ensure they meet exact customer and company
specifications.
- Assembly & Packaging: Using hand tools to assemble components and wrapping or labelling finished goods for dispatch.
- Site Maintenance: Keeping work areas, vehicles, and factory floors clear of debris and hazard-free.
- Inventory Management: Assisting with moving raw materials to the production line and organising stock in the warehouse.
- Delivering: Able to drive a flatbed truck for day-to-day deliveries and pick-ups.
Key Skills & Requirements
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform manual labour, including prolonged standing and lifting heavy items.
- Attention to Detail: Monitoring for product imperfections and following strict health and safety (HSE/HACCP) rules.
- Hand-Eye Coordination: Manual dexterity for using both simple hand tools and technical equipment
Hours
Monday to Thursday. 07:00 - 1600 hours & Friday 07:00 13:00 hours.
