Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver with HIAB certification to join our team. This role involves operating a Tipper eight wheel lorry equipped with a HIAB crane with clamshell bucket to safely and efficiently deliver goods across various locations. The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in commercial driving and delivery, demonstrating excellent organisational skills and a commitment to safety. Duties
- Safely operate a HGV Class 2 Tipper Eight Wheel lorry fitted with a HIAB Clamshell bucket for transportation and delivery of goods
- Load and unload cargo using the HIAB bucket, adhering to safety protocols and operational guidelines
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects or issues promptly
- Plan delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely collection and drop-off of goods
- Assist with securing loads on the tipper to prevent movement during transit
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including delivery notes and vehicle logs
- Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour when interacting with clients and colleagues
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including compliance.
Skills
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with HIAB certification is essential
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with tipper eight wheel vehicles and crane operations
- Strong understanding of safe loading, unloading, and securing of cargo using HIAB equipment
- Excellent organisational skills to plan routes effectively and manage schedules
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- Ability to operate within health and safety regulations at all times
- Experience in delivery driver roles is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and professionalism
