Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Concrete Labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will assist with various aspects of concrete work, including preparation, pouring, and finishing. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills within the construction industry, working on diverse projects that require attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of sites for concrete pouring, including setting up formwork and reinforcing materials
- Mix and pour concrete according to project specifications
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform finishing tasks such as smoothing surfaces and ensuring proper curing of concrete
- Support with the installation of structural elements such as masonry or roofing components where required
- Carry out heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to meet project demands
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety standards are upheld
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to high standards
Skills
- Experience with welding, masonry, carpentry, roofing, or mechanical knowledge is advantageous
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to construction tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to adhere strictly to health and safety regulations on site
- Basic understanding of commercial driving is a plus but not essential
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely
- Good physical fitness with stamina for manual labour in various weather conditions
