We are looking to employ a carer to provide support to our Son, who has been diagnosed with Autism and requires support and gentle prompting with daily tasks.
G is sixteen years old, he is a mostly happy boy, loves balls, fiddly toys. He loves Play-Doh and messy play. G when unhappy can display challenging behaviours.
Main Duties will include:
· Ensure basic hygiene needs are being met, G will need help with toileting.
· Preparing meals and help G eat it
· Keeping him safe and entertained
· Bit of help around the house, sweeping up of Play-Doh etc
Hours of Work
We are looking for help on a Thursday or Friday and some Saturday afternoons, additional hours in the school holidays.
Pay
· From £12.71 per hour
· Employment can be employed or self-employed, depending on preference
Ideal Candidate
· Must have patience and be reliable
· Be able to manage challenging behaviours, G is 13stone, approx. 5ft 8, he’s very strong, when cross can become aggressive (normally gets cross about food)
· DBS checks will be carried out
· Legally be able to work in the UK
· Hold a UK driving licence
· Experience of working with Children with additional needs
The BCP Direct Advice Service is a support service for individuals who are living independently within the community. We are not the person you will work for. You will work for the individual or family we are supporting.
