Konas Enterprises is seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers while maintaining excellent communication and service standards.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and supportive environment, contributing to the efficient operation of our logistics and distribution services.
Training
- Successful applicants will receive 2 days of driver training
- Training will be Half day
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans to deliver goods within designated areas
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel usage
- Load and unload goods, including heavy lifting where required
- Ensure goods are secured correctly during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery records and confirmations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or delays
- Conduct routine vehicle safety inspections before and after shifts
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies
- Assist with warehouse duties when required, including stock organisation and inventory management
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles
- Valid UK driving licence
- Maximum of 6 penalty points
- No criminal record (background check required)
- Clean and responsible driving history preferred
- Experience with warehouse operations and heavy lifting is an advantage
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to use GPS and navigation systems efficiently
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
Additional Information
- Drivers are responsible for any parking tickets or vehicle damage incurred
- Full company uniform is provided and must be worn daily
- Deliveries are primarily within the UB postcode area
- This is a long-term, stable role for reliable and committed individuals
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £120.00 per day
