About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate experienced Nursing Care Home Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our care home. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment.
As the Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the home’s performance, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while driving excellence in care, staff leadership, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
· Provide strong leadership to inspire and develop a dedicated care team
· Maintain high standards of care in line with CQC regulations and company policies
· Oversee recruitment, induction, training, and performance management
· Foster a culture of continuous improvement and clinical governance
· Lead staff meetings, appraisals, and supervision processes
Care & Service Delivery
· Ensure residents receive person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and choice
· Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and regular reviews
· Ensure compliance with the Mental Capacity Act and DoLS legislation
· Promote a safe, engaging environment with meaningful activities and quality nutrition
· Address and resolve complaints effectively and professionally
Compliance & Quality Assurance
· Act as the Registered Manager with CQC and maintain full compliance
· Conduct regular audits and ensure adherence to quality standards
· Keep up to date with legislation, policies, and industry best practices
· Report incidents and notifications to regulatory bodies as required
Operational & Financial Management
· Manage budgets, staffing levels, and occupancy to ensure sustainability
· Oversee rotas, payroll submissions, and resource allocation
· Maintain accurate records and ensure data confidentiality
· Ensure the home is clean, safe, and well-maintained
Stakeholder Engagement
· Build strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals
· Liaise with local authorities, regulators, and healthcare partners
· Represent the home at inspections, meetings, and community engagement events
What We’re Looking For
· Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a nursing home
· Strong understanding of CQC standards and regulatory compliance
· Exceptional leadership and people management skills
· Clinical background (RGN preferred) with valid NMC registration
· Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
· Passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
