Role Overview
As the Nursery Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and regulatory compliance are maintained. You will lead and motivate a committed team, foster strong relationships with families, and ensure the nursery operates efficiently while providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, mentor, and support the nursery team to deliver outstanding early years education and childcare.
- Ensure full compliance with EYFS, Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and all statutory requirements.
- Manage staffing requirements, rota planning, recruitment activities, and employee performance management.
- Maintain exceptional standards of care, learning, and development for all children within the setting.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, carers, local authorities, and external agencies.
- Oversee nursery administration, occupancy levels, budgeting, and financial performance.
- Promote an inclusive, positive, and nurturing environment that supports both children and staff.
Candidate RequirementsEssential Skills & Experience
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (Level 5 or Level 6 qualification is highly desirable).
- Previous experience working as a Nursery Manager or Deputy Nursery Manager.
- Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding procedures, and Ofsted standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Genuine passion for early years education, child development, and delivering high-quality childcare.
