Job Summary
Delivering Company products to customers throughout the UK, from planning of routes to offloading at the customer premises. Ensuring delivery deadlines are met whilst not compromising product quality. Acting as an ambassador for the Company in all dealings with our customers and other partners.
Essential Job Functions
- Undertaking daily checks to confirm condition and safety of the vehicle, completing required reports
- Following the planned route to the required destinations, taking account of restrictions that may apply to HGVs
- Driving an HGV to undertake deliveries, respecting all relevant legal and safety requirements
- Maintaining tachograph records to ensure compliance with relevant driver working hours regulations
- Operating a mechanical tail lift and electric pallet truck to load and off load products in a safe manner
- Ensuring that the vehicle is kept clean through regular internal and external cleaning
- The nature of the job may require some nights working away from home
Qualifications
- Current Class 2 License with the opportunity to train for Class 1
- Current Driver CPC Essential
- Proven experience as a truck driver or delivery driver
- Strong communication skills and customer service-oriented mindset
- Ability to drive long distances and work in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo
