Rapid Personnel are proud to be partnering with an industry-leading, family-run business with over 40 years of expertise in bespoke canvas and PVC manufacturing. We are currently recruiting for a Sewing Machinist to join their dedicated and growing team on a temporary basis, with the potential for permanent employment.
About the role
As a Sewing Machinist, you will play a key role in creating high-spec, tailor-made products that meet the unique needs of clients. From outdoor curtains and custom carry bags to heavy-duty tailored covers and cushion covers, you'll be involved in producing a wide range of bespoke items in a fast-paced and hands-on environment. This role is varied and repetitive in nature, so experience in a similar setting is beneficial, but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines to assemble and finish canvas and PVC items
- Read and follow design specifications for bespoke projects
- Work closely with the production team to ensure timely, high-quality output
- Maintain machinery and adhere to health and safety standards
Requirements
- Confidence using industrial sewing machines (experience preferred but not essential)
- Great attention to detail and pride in your work
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Reliable, proactive, and keen to learn
Hours & Pay
- £14 - £15 per hour DOE
- Monday-Thursday 7:30am – 4:45pm / Fri 7:30am – 3:00pm
