The Role
- Teaching a Year 2 class and delivering lessons that are creative, engaging, and tailored to pupils’ needs
- Supporting children’s development across reading, writing, maths, and phonics
- Preparing pupils for Key Stage 1 assessments in a supportive and encouraging manner
- Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Creating a classroom environment where children feel motivated, safe, and included
- Tracking pupil progress and adapting learning where needed to support achievement
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within KS1, particularly Year 2, is desirable
- A strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment process
- Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
- A positive and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning
- Someone who works well as part of a team and is committed to making a difference in the classroom
