We are looking for a skilled Pipe Fitter to join the Maintenance team within our Site Services function, supporting a diverse range of high-profile production units across the business.
This is more than a day-to-day maintenance role; it is an opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on long-term projects and commercial and industrial installations, using modern equipment in a varied manufacturing environment.
The role involves installing carbon steel, copper, stainless steel and plastic pipework systems, working closely with welders, HVAC engineers and Project Managers to deliver projects safely and efficiently.
This position would suit someone with strong practical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Carrying out reactive maintenance to diagnose and repair faults
- Completing planned maintenance activities across site services
- Working with pipework systems, pumps, and associated equipment
- Installing and modifying carbon steel, copper, stainless steel and plastic pipework systems
- Supporting site improvement projects and infrastructure upgrades
- Supporting the safe operation of steam and gas systems
- Working across a large-scale manufacturing environment with varied site services systems
- Maintaining clean and organised work areas using 5S principles
- Assisting in the training and support of new team members where required
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in pipe fitting, steam systems, or welding
- Proven experience in pipe fitting, welding, and working with pumps
- Qualified, with a minimum of three years of experience in TIG welding
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
- Experience with steam and gas systems (advantageous)
- Good manual dexterity and practical problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
