Role: Mobile Cleaner – Specialist Cleaning (Hoarder & Declutter Cleans)
Location: Brighton & Hove and surrounding areas
Reporting to: Supervisor / Account Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Mobile Cleaner to join our specialist cleaning team operating across Brighton & Hove.
The role involves carrying out deep cleaning and environmental cleans within residential properties, often following declutter or hoarding clearance works, and frequently within the homes of vulnerable adults.
This position requires a high level of professionalism, sensitivity and discretion, as you may be working in challenging environments and interacting with residents who require patience, respect and understanding.
The successful candidate will travel between sites and work as part of a small team delivering high standards of cleaning and hygiene in properties that may have experienced significant neglect.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out deep cleaning of residential properties following hoarder or declutter clearances.
- Work safely and effectively in properties that may be heavily cluttered or previously hoarded.
- Clean and sanitise all areas including kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces and communal areas.
- Remove residual debris, dust and contamination following clearance works.
- Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals and equipment in line with COSHH regulations.
- Work sensitively in homes occupied by vulnerable adults, maintaining dignity and respect at all times.
- Follow all company health & safety procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Report hazards, safeguarding concerns or property issues to supervisors.
- Maintain company equipment and vehicles where applicable.
- Complete basic job records or photographic evidence of completed work where required.
Person Specification
Essential
- Previous professional cleaning experience
- Experience of deep cleaning or specialist cleaning environments
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good understanding of health & safety practices
- Reliable, punctual and physically fit for manual work
- Professional and respectful when working in residents’ homes
- Ability to work in challenging environments with sensitivity and discretion
Highly Desirable
- Experience working on hoarder cleans or declutter clearances
- Experience working within social housing environments
- Experience working with or around vulnerable adults
- Knowledge of infection control or environmental cleaning

Compliance & Safeguarding
Due to the nature of this role and the requirement to work within the homes of vulnerable adults, the successful candidate must undergo and pass an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
The role requires a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and safeguarding awareness when working within residents’ homes.
Working Conditions
- Work will take place across multiple residential sites in Brighton & Hove
- Some environments may involve heavily cluttered or previously hoarded properties
- Appropriate training, PPE and equipment will be provided
- Work is carried out as part of a mobile team travelling between locations
