Are you used to managing admin tasks and deadlines, and maintaining accuracy and great customer service at the same time? Are you looking for a student-facing role that sees you contributing to an excellent student experience?
This full-time post based at our Medway campus will provide administrative support in Careers, Employability & Skills with a focus on the employability and placement services for students and graduates of our Social Work Programmes. You will play a key role supporting the organisation of multiple high-profile student events including Careers Fairs, Employability Festival and employer engagement sessions as well as Graduate Outcomes data collection and placement administration.
As Administrator (Careers & Employability) you can expect to be involved in:
- Proactively working to support Social Work students and graduates in relation to their work placements
- Maintaining and updating employer contact records and event participation data using the University’s careers management system (Target Connect) and other databases
- Supporting employer communications including preparing event promotional materials, updating web content, and assisting with employer email campaigns
- Supporting the administration and data collection for key institutional exercises such as the Graduate Outcomes survey
What will you bring to the role?
- Experience of working in a busy office environment with excellent customer service delivery
- Experience of handling external and internal enquiries and providing a positive first impression
- Experience of maintaining accurate electronic records and using databases regularly
- A high level of organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
