Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of food production
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients in compliance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with health and safety guidelines
- Train new team members on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
- Monitor food safety practices throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
- Support the team during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver seamless service experiences for guests
Skills
- Proven experience within a busy kitchen environment
- Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food production and presentation
- Proficient in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
- Sound knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality settings
- Experience working in restaurants or similar hospitality establishments
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and management
- Knowledge of serving standards and customer service principles is advantageous
