Job Overview
We are looking for an exceptional Innovative Pastry Chef & Creative Sandwich Artisan to redefine our food offering. This role is for a culinary creator who can treat a sandwich like a plated restaurant dish and a pastry like a work of art.
You will lead the creation of show-stopping pastries (think unique laminations, unexpected flavor profiles, and flawless aesthetics) alongside a premium, hyper-creative sandwich menu built on house-baked, artisanal breads. If you are passionate about textures, obsessed with premium seasonal ingredients, and love turning simple concepts into unforgettable culinary experiences, this kitchen is your canvas.
Responsibilities
- Menu Innovation: Design and execute a rotating menu of "destination" pastries and high-end, chef-driven sandwiches that guests will travel for.
- The Sandwich Program: Elevate the humble sandwich into a gourmet experience—developing custom house-made condiments, slow-cooked or house-cured fillings, and pairing them with the perfect, specific bread profile.
- The Pastry Program: Produce a daily selection of exceptional Viennoiserie, contemporary pastries, and seasonal bakes that balance striking visuals with complex flavors.
- Sourcing & Seasonality: Work closely with premium local suppliers to source the best seasonal produce, artisanal cheeses, and high-quality meats.
- Kitchen Operations: Manage daily prep, baking schedules, and assembly lines to ensure everything looks pristine and tastes perfect during peak hours.
- Consistency & Quality Control: Maintain meticulous standards for presentation, texture, and taste across every single item that leaves the counter.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in a premium bakery, specialty café, or high-end kitchen with a strong dual focus on pastry arts and savory food execution.Pastry Skills
- Mastery of lamination (croissants, danishes), choux pastry, tarts, and contemporary flavor pairings.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- A passion for food and a keen interest in developing culinary skills
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to food handling and preparation

Pay: £30,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
