Part-Time Carer/Care Assistant Job - £15 per hour on a self employed basis
LOCATION - BLACKBROOK, STAFFS, ST5
(Travel time to and from work is paid)
22-27 hrs per week - Core hours are Weds, Thurs, Friday evenings (4-9 pm) and Sunday daytime. Additional shifts are available on weekends and overnights

In this carer job, you will be looking after a delightful young adult with special needs. He is extremely happy and sociable with no behavioural issues. He lights up every room he enters.
Hours -
- Between 22 -27 hours per week
- Additional weekend shifts available
- Includes the travel time we pay for
Your job as his carer/care assistant would involve:
- Transporting him to and from day centres in our wheelchair-accessible vehicle. Our Insurance covers you to drive this, but you must have a clean driver's license
- Assisting with participating in hobbies
- Preparing meals and assisting with feeding him
- Personal Care - including bathing, shaving, changing
- Taking him out for walks in his wheelchair
- Taking him to social events in the evenings
- We have all of the necessary moving and handling equipment including hoists etc.
The carer/care assistant we are looking for needs to have the following skills/attributes:
- Must have the ability to drive and have a clean driving license
- Must have a caring, supportive and relaxed attitude
- Willingness to work flexibly, cover for other team members and sometimes change hours at short notice
- Someone who understands the importance of health and safety and manual handling requirements
- You must always keep paperwork and conversations confidential
- At least 2 years experience in caring or working with children/young adults
