Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Oversee all aspects of food production, including cooking, plating, and garnishing dishes to meet quality specifications
- Manage food safety protocols, hygiene standards, and sanitation procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and promote a cohesive team environment
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste and maximise efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef with a strong background in food production and culinary arts
- Supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
- Excellent knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and allergen management
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques across various cuisines
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
- A passion for hospitality, serving guests, and delivering exceptional dining experiences
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential depending on experience
