Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for cleanliness and organisation to contribute to a safe and welcoming environment. Prior janitorial experience and knowledge of commercial cleaning are advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing surfaces in commercial spaces
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas to meet health and safety standards
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are stored safely and efficiently
- Follow designated cleaning schedules and procedures accurately
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Ensure all cleaning activities are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good physical stamina to perform manual tasks throughout the shift
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and adhere to health & safety guidelines
- Own transport is needed
