Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Supervisor/Barista to lead our team and deliver exceptional customer service in a vibrant coffee shop environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for coffee, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to motivate others. This role involves overseeing daily operations, preparing high-quality beverages, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. Previous experience in food service and barista duties is preferred, along with a strong commitment to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily shop operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies
- Prepare a variety of coffee beverages and food items in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the premises
- Lead and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service
- Manage stock levels, place orders, and ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies
- Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure overall customer satisfaction
- Assist with training new staff members on food preparation, serving techniques, and safety procedures
- Monitor cleanliness of the shop floor, equipment, and workstations to uphold health & safety regulations
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista with knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and food preparation
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and stock management
- Effective leadership qualities to supervise staff and foster a positive team environment
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
