Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Driver with a valid HIAB licence to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries across designated routes. This role requires a confident driver with experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed loads, and the ability to operate HIAB cranes effectively. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic logistics environment, contributing to the smooth operation of our delivery services.
Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4pm, Friday 7.30am - 3pm. Closed Weekends.
Duties
- Operate HGV lorries with flatbed trailers, ensuring secure loading and unloading of cargo.
- Use HIAB crane equipment to load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
- Plan routes to optimise delivery times while adhering to legal driving hours and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections, reporting any faults or issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations during operations.
- Assist with loading and unloading when necessary, maintaining a high standard of safety at all times.
Experience
- · Valid Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (Category C) HGV Licence
· Current HIAB Licence/Certificate (Brick Grab)
· Valid Driver CPC Qualification
· Digital Tachograph Card.
· Good understanding of UK driving regulations and health & safety requirements.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Forklift Licence preferred but not essential.
