Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Night Shift CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery during overnight hours, ensuring production runs smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Operate various CNC manufacturing machinery to produce aerospace components.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment, identify issues, and carry out basic troubleshooting or notify maintenance as needed.
- Handle materials safely using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Use measuring equipment such as micrometers and verniers.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine settings, and quality checks throughout the shift.
- Assist with material handling tasks such as loading and unloading components or raw materials within the warehouse or production area.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements or safety improvements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a mechanical/CNC role. Mechanical assembly, mechanical fitting ect.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and tooling effectively.
- Experience with measuring equipment.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to machine setup and quality control.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail; able to follow technical drawings and specifications accurately.
