Roband is a company that specialises in the design, development, and manufacture of electronic power supply systems principally for the defence and aerospace markets.
We have a vacancy for an experienced Assembly Shop Manager with a background in PCB & electronics manufacturing processes and techniques. The position oversees all aspects of the assembly process, ensuring that production goals are met whilst maintaining stringent quaintly standards.
The Job:
· Be responsible for the daily running and organisation of the Electronics Assembly Department
· Plan work schedules (people and equipment) based on priorities set by senior management
· Read production drawings and from these create workflows for new assemblies
· Liaise with other departments – e.g. Other Production Areas, Design Office and QA
· Proactive in identifying problems and collaborative in solving them
· Maintain & Improve production Quality & Efficiency
· Maintain & improve 6S standards
· Ensure compliance to H&S and other applicable requirements
· Advocate for the assembly team and assembly department’s needs
· Be part of suggesting and implementing updates to both processes and equipment
You:
· Ability to Manage and Motivate the team
· Ability to monitor and analyse production data & implement change where required
· Experience in similar positions with focus on production quality and efficiency
· Must be able to take the initiative within the role
· The ability to communicate at all levels
Due to the remote location of Roband applicants must have their own transport.
Hours:
8.00 a.m. - 4.45 p.m. Monday - Thursday
8.00 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. Friday
Pay: From £40,000.00 per year
