Supervisor – The Boston Arms
The Boston Arms is looking for an experienced Supervisor to play a key role in strengthening our team and driving standards forward.
This is a hands-on position for someone who can take control of a shift, make sound decisions and support management in running a tight, professional operation.
Essential:
- Proven supervisory experience in a busy pub or bar
- MUST Personal Licence holder
- If no licence, you must demonstrate extensive hospitality experience, strong employment stability and genuine commitment. The right candidate may be supported through the Personal Licence course.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene within the bar area.

Key Responsibilities:
- Running shifts confidently and efficiently. Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Supporting stock control, cash handling and compliance. Monitor stock levels, place orders for supplies, and manage inventory to minimise waste.
- Maintaining licensing and health & safety standards
- Managing staff performance on shift
- Handling customer issues professionally. Maintain high standards of hospitality by providing excellent customer service and resolving any guest concerns promptly.
- Ensure all beverages are prepared according to company standards, including cocktail mixing and serving.
- Enforce health and safety regulations within the bar area, including food safety procedures.
- Lead by example in maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and professional appearance of the bar area.
- Assist in training new team members in service standards, food safety, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments such as kitchen staff and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service.
