The post holder will be part of the Endoscopy Access Team and will be responsible for day to day co-ordination and compiling of waiting lists and adding of patients to these waiting lists.
The post will require you to work closely with the polyp nurse specialist and general anaesthetic pre-assessment nurses.
To provide comprehensive administrative support to the Endoscopy Department
The ability to work autonomously using your own initiative but adhering to operational

To deal with telephone enquires in an empathetic and productive manner, taking appropriate action to ensure high patient satisfaction.
To work as part of team to deliver a first class service to patients and users of the Endoscopy service
Actively supporting and contributing to the requirements of the service
To utilise designated operational practices within the specific endoscopy reporting system and trust’s systems.
To communicate effectively with a range of people, either in person or on the telephone, promptly and in a professional and courteous manner whilst recognising barriers to communication
Respond to enquiries and take appropriate action on behalf of the service either by telephone, personal contact or correspondence, within agreed time limits
Liaise with all relevant departments involved in providing care and core services to ensure the smooth progression of the patients pathway
Provide excellent front of house service when covering Endoscopy receptions
Dealing sensitively with any complaints, problems or issues arising, highlighting and referring problems where necessary to the supervisors
Provide expert advice on aspects of the patient’s care within defined boundaries and limits
Establish and maintain electronic and manual filing systems
Cover other members of the Endoscopy admin team when required which may mean working on other sites
The post holder will actively support & contribute to the requirements of the pre-assessment service and the endoscopy unit
