BMS Commissioning Engineer – Trend Systems

- Basic salary from £55,000 - £58,233 (depending on experience)

- Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 5:30pm
- On-call rates paid at x2 + door-to-door pay

We are a long-established engineering and property services provider delivering specialist maintenance and building management solutions across the UK. With over 50 years of experience, we support a wide range of commercial and public sector clients including schools, office buildings, civic centres, and healthcare environments throughout London and the South East.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer with strong Trend software knowledge to join our specialist controls division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commissioning and configuring Trend BMS systems across commercial properties
- Modifying and optimising BMS software to improve system performance and energy efficiency
- Carrying out point-to-point checks, controller setup, and full system integration
- Diagnosing and resolving software, communication, and control issues across HVAC plant
- Working with boilers, AHUs, FCUs, heat pumps, pressurisation units, valves, and associated plant equipment
- Reading and interpreting control drawings, schematics, and sequence of operations
- Supporting project delivery from commissioning through to client handover
- Producing accurate commissioning reports and technical documentation
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with Health & Safety regulations and company standards
- Providing technical support and guidance to engineers and clients where required
Essential Qualifications / Experience:
- Previous experience commissioning Trend BMS systems
- Strong knowledge of Trend IQ controllers and SET software
- Experience modifying BMS software and control strategies
- Good understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical plant operation
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills within BMS controls
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Full UK Driver’s Licence
- Enhanced DBS check
Desirable Qualifications / Experience:
- Trend accredited training / qualifications
- Experience with integration protocols such as BACnet or Modbus
- Knowledge of energy optimisation and plant efficiency strategies
- Previous experience within commercial or public sector buildings
- Electrical knowledge or previous controls engineering background
