About Us
We are a growing, independent bakery and café group based on the Devon coast, known for doing things properly - fresh bagels, quality ingredients, and food made with care.
As we continue to grow, we’re bringing more of our baking in-house and are looking for a skilled baker to join our team and help shape the next stage of our production.
The Role
This is a hands-on baking role within our central kitchen, focused on producing high-quality baked goods to supply our shops.
While this isn’t a traditional early-morning bakery role, it still requires a strong understanding of baking processes, timing, and consistency. Production is planned in advance, with stock baked fresh and distributed across our sites.
You’ll be working across a range of products including:
- Bagels - mixing, fermenting, shaping, boiling, and baking
- Bread rolls and loaves
- Pastries including cinnamon scrolls and croissants
- Traybakes and cakes
- Seasonal and special bakes
Key Responsibilities
- Mixing, shaping, and baking products to a consistent, high standard
- Managing doughs, fermentation, and bake quality
- Following and refining recipes to improve both quality and efficiency
- Working to production schedules to meet demand across multiple locations
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards
- Keeping the bakery space clean, organised, and efficient
- Supporting the development of new baked products
- Delivering goods across the group via use of a company van
About You
- Experience working as a baker or in a bakery environment
- Confident handling doughs and understanding fermentation
- Takes pride in the quality and consistency of your work
- Organised and able to manage your own workflow
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
- Interested in developing your craft and contributing ideas
- Full, clean UK driving license
