Night Shift PlaterAn established structural steel manufacturer in Bury is now recruiting experienced Platers on a permanent basis.
These are permanent PAYE positions.
Night Shift
Monday to Thursday, 7.00pm - 4.45am
Payrate £24.16 per hour
Overtime is available and paid at enhanced rates, up to double time.
As a Plater, you will:
- Mark out, assemble and plate heavy structural steel from detailed engineering drawings
- Work with a variety of structural steel sections, beams and heavy gauge plate
- Assemble large structural components to tight tolerances
- Carry out tack welding where required during assembly
- Use overhead cranes and workshop equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure all work meets the required quality and production standards
I'd love to see your CV if you are:
- Time served or apprentice trained
- Experienced as a Plater within heavy or structural steel
- Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Experienced assembling large structural steelwork
- Able to work accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
