Rotherwood Healthcare is an award winning care home group, providing luxury residential, nursing and dementia care for the older generation in a family of care homes and nursing homes across the Midlands.
Hampton Grange is nestled along the picturesque riverbanks of the river Wye, just a stone’s throw away from the heart of Hereford. Hampton Grange stands as a grand Victorian house, elegantly adapted in a Tudor style, situated in a calm residential area and is home to 64 residents.

The Role:
As the Activities Assistant, you will proactively assist and engage in the delivery of meaningful, enjoyable and stimulating activities in the Home. You will provide support to the Activities Coordinator to ensure other team members and residents know about and are engaged in the activities programme.
Key Responsibilities:
· Help the Lifestyle Coordinator to deliver the lifestyle programme, covering a wide range of activities, outings, and events.
· Support the regular review of activities, assess effectiveness, revising and refreshing where required.
· Help every resident to live as independently as possible and enhance their involvement with their family, friends, and the local community.
· Support the building of strong and positive external links within the local community for the Home to encourage external partnerships.
· Capture resident engagement and meaningful activities for Rotherwood’s social media platforms.
· Assist with marketing resident activities with the intention of promoting Rotherwood’s resident stimulation and fun activity programme.

About You:
You will have previous experience of activities tasks within a care setting, with a good understanding of dementia and the positive impact of activities/stimulation. You will have a general passion for helping others with drive and enthusiasm and be able to build and sustain contacts and a local network to benefit the residents and the home. With a personable disposition, and a strong belief in our core values, this role could be the next step in your career.
Pay: £12.81 per hour
