Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor green spaces, ensuring they are healthy, vibrant, and aesthetically pleasing. Responsibilities
- Planting, pruning, weeding, and watering gardens to promote healthy growth
- Operating hand tools such as secateurs, spades, and rakes for garden maintenance
- Utilising power tools including hedge trimmers and lawn mowers safely and effectively
- Installing and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants
- Applying fertilisers, pesticides, and other treatments as required to maintain plant health
- Assisting with landscape design projects and seasonal planting activities
- Maintaining pathways, borders, and outdoor features to ensure a tidy appearance
- Monitoring plant health and identifying pests or diseases for appropriate action
- Ensuring all gardening equipment is kept clean and in good working order
Experience
- Previous experience in gardening or horticulture is highly desirable
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems within landscape maintenance
- Growing experience with various plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees is advantageous
- Knowledge of horticultural practices and landscape design principles preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- A keen eye for detail and organisation in managing garden spaces effectively
