Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team at a residential care home. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication administration in accordance with care plans
- Support residents in maintaining their independence and dignity through personalised care approaches
- Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns to senior staff promptly
- Encourage social interaction and organise engaging activities to promote mental and emotional health
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and adhere to confidentiality protocols
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Support residents during outings or appointments, including driving when necessary
- Uphold health and safety standards within the care home environment at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for supporting residents’ outings and appointments
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with residents and team members
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with residents
- Ability to work as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required

Pay: £12.82 per hour
