Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled certificated NPORS or CPCS Multi Skilled Loading Shovel & 360 Excavator Operator to join our team at a waste & aggregate transfer station. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery efficiently and safely, contributing to the smooth running of waste transfer operations.
Duties
- Operate loading shovels and 360 excavators to load, unload, and move waste & aggregate materials within the transfer station.
- Ensure all machinery is maintained in good working order through routine inspections and basic troubleshooting.
- Assist with the safe manoeuvring of waste & aggregate lorries and other vehicles within the site, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Support site operations by assisting with general plant duties as required, including site clearance and organisation of materials.
- Follow all operational procedures to ensure environmental compliance and safety standards are upheld at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of operational activities and report any issues or faults promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience operating loading shovels and 360 excavators in a commercial environment.
- Mechanical knowledge to carry out routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on machinery
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to plant operation and waste transfer stations.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Pay: £16.00-£19.00 per hour
