The role
You will support the day-to-day running of the pub with delivery, and stock processes, offering excellent customer service by ensuring 100% product availability at all times. To adhere to all Wetherspoon standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company policies, to maintain a clean, safe and legal workplace.
We open our doors early in the morning and sometimes don't close them until late at night, so offering great flexibility of working hours.
Duties include:
- Receive and store and food, drinks and non-consumable deliveries, in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs). Investigate and report any anomalies, as required.
- Have a good understanding of stock rotation to refill fridges and freezers and maintain them to a high standard.
- Follow guidelines to complete defrost and preparation, as required.
- Ensure that the bar is kept fully stocked with stock, ice, non-consumables and prepped items (eg fruit).
- Take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness by adopting our 'clean as you go' philosophy:
- Adhere to cellar management practices, including all opening and closing procedures and processes. Follow line-cleaning processes to maintain top-quality dispense of all draught products.
Progression and development
Most Wetherspoon team leaders and managers started in the kitchen or behind the bar.
