Overview
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Breakfast Cafe Worker to join our vibrant team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the hospitality industry, providing exceptional service to our guests during morning hours. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food service, possess a welcoming demeanour, and be eager to contribute to a positive dining experience. Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Prepare and serve breakfast items in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Ability to cook traditional full english breakfast items on a griddle
- Take orders from guests courteously and efficiently, ensuring accuracy
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism and friendliness
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including tables, counters, and kitchen stations
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, adhering to food safety regulations
- Ability to take payments using cash register and card machine
- Replenish supplies and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety throughout the shift
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests in a warm and welcoming manner
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is desirable but not mandatory
- Barista experience or food preparation skills are advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is preferred
- Strong communication skills with a friendly attitude towards guests
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment during busy mornings
- Organised with good attention to detail
- A positive team player willing to learn and adapt to new tasks
