Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Deli Manager to oversee daily operations within our busy food establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food preparation, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the deli team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of service
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain quality and consistency
- Manage daily operations including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety policies
- Delegate tasks, and monitor performance to foster a motivated team environment
- Assist in training new staff members on food handling, safety procedures, and customer service protocols
- Maintain excellent customer relations by addressing queries and resolving issues promptly
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure fresh ingredients are available for daily production
- Implement promotional activities and menu updates to enhance customer experience
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
- Experience in team management with demonstrated leadership abilities
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations
- Previous roles involving food production or deli management are highly desirable
- Knowledge of hospitality industry practices including serving and customer engagement
- Additional experience in hotel or barista roles will be considered an asset
