Overview
The Care Navigator plays a pivotal role in supporting individuals as they navigate through their healthcare journeys. This position requires a compassionate and organised individual who can effectively manage administrative tasks while providing exceptional service to clients. The Care Navigator will be responsible for facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring that all necessary information is accurately documented and conveyed.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing guidance on healthcare options.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and care plans through data entry and clerical duties.
- Coordinate appointments, follow-ups, and referrals to ensure seamless access to services.
- Utilise Microsoft Office and Google Workspace to create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations as needed.
- Manage office tasks including filing, typing correspondence, and maintaining an organised workspace.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when communicating with clients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance the overall client experience.
Experience
- Previous office experience is essential, with a strong emphasis on administrative roles.
- Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications.
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in data entry and clerical work is highly desirable.
- Strong typing skills with attention to detail are crucial for maintaining accurate records.
- A background in healthcare or social services would be beneficial but not required.
