Customer Service & Operations Coordinator (Service Delivery)

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Sales & Customer Service Team at Mayglothling Waste Ltd. We are looking for a proactive and organised individual to join us in a key role supporting both customer experience and operational delivery.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in sales administration or service coordination who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working at the centre of a busy operation.
Job Purpose
To provide a professional, efficient, and customer-focused service, supporting the day-to-day operations of our customer care and service delivery function. You will act as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring enquiries are handled effectively and services are accurately scheduled and delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls from new and existing customers, assessing requirements and providing solutions
- Respond to sales enquiries and prepare accurate, timely quotations
- Proactively follow up on outstanding quotes and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, delivering a high standard of service
- Accurately log enquiries, orders, and job details within CRM systems
- Coordinate and schedule jobs using the transport booking system
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
- Monitor shared inboxes, ensuring all enquiries are actioned or escalated appropriately
- Process customer orders, payments, and resolve invoice-related queries
- Provide clear advice and information on services and products
- Produce and manage required documentation, including waste control forms and commercial paperwork
- Maintain accurate customer records, accounts, and sales opportunities within CRM
- Support general administrative and sales coordination tasks as required

Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an administrative, customer service, or coordination role
- Strong communication skills (both phone and email)
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
- Experience using CRM systems or similar databases
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
Desirable
- Previous experience in a sales or service environment
- Experience with systems such as Sage (or similar)
- Knowledge of the waste or environmental services industry (training provided)
Job Details
- Full-time, Permanent
- Working Pattern: Monday – Friday (rota: 7:00am - 4:00pm - 8:00am – 5:00pm / 9:00am – 6:00pm)
- 1 Saturday per month: 8:00am – 12:00pm
- Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
