A welcoming primary school in Colchester is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the school and help create an engaging, positive learning environment.
This role is ideal for graduates considering a future in primary teaching, educational psychology, or child development, offering valuable hands-on experience working alongside experienced educators.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils in the classroom on a one-to-one, small-group, and whole-class basis
- Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
- Helping pupils develop confidence, engagement, and independence in their learning
- Providing targeted support in literacy and numeracy interventions
- Supporting the social and emotional development of pupils
- Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment
What We're Looking For
- A degree in any subject (or predicted degree)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and enthusiastic attitude
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for working with children
- Previous experience working with children is beneficial but not essential
